FSC Swag: T-shirts Reveal


Thank you to everyone who presented their T-shirt design ideas for the 2021-2022 UGA Food Science Club T-shirt. We've finally chose one. YAY!


Everyone will be getting an email soon containing the link to the chosen t-shirt design, and an option to pick your preferred sizes.


*All members who have paid their dues will receive a FREE t-shirt!




Mentorship: FSC Buddy Program


The FSC-UGA buddy program is now officially open!

Volunteers Needed: Food Science Newsletter Writers


Love food? Want to write about it? Why not join the Food Science Club's Communications Team and create a Newsletter!


Write up recipes, rate the local restaurants, tell us the science behind any and everything food-related. We want to hear it all.





Writing not your thing? That's okay, here are more ways to volunteer with the UGA Food Science Club.



Special Event: Beyond Fresh Meats Short Course


Looking to learn more about meat science? Interested in working for a larger company? This weekend crash course at Tyson's Food Discovery Center may be a good opportunity for you!


  • When: March 11-13th, 2022

  • Where: Downer Grove, Illinois

  • Registration fee: $50 (+ $30 membership for the American Meat Science Association)

  • What’s covered: meals, hotel, transport to hotel *you need to cover transportation to Downer Grove(Chicago)

  • Application deadline: November 24th

Vaccination to Covid-19 is required.

  • November 12 - Dinner with Exec Let’s have a magical dinner out with our favorite exec board. ( Covington Square @ 6:00 pm )- Carpool options are available

  • November 17 - International Potluck (General Body Meeting) Choose your favorite country and bring a dish to share with everyone.

  • November 17 - IFTSA Trivia Night @ 8p ET

  • November 24 - Festive Food and Chapter Buddy. Show off our regional commodities and meet other food scientists from other states in this IFTSA event. Let us know if you are interested.

DECEMBER

  • December 2 - FSC End of the Year Holiday Gathering (TBA)
