FSC Events Team

We're looking for 4 people to join our events team. The main goal of this team is to help plan, manage, and organize fun events for the Food Science Club and its members.

Volunteer Duties

Event Planning & Brainstorming
+ Identify the goals, requirements, and expectations for each event.
+ Brainstorm and implementing event concepts and themes.
+ Researching and securing venues for events (mostly on-campus)
+ Organizing supplies, ordering food, and securing entertainment for events.

Event Coordination
+ Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and venues
+ Plan event details and aspects, including venues, food options and guests
+ Work with the finance chair to create reliable budgets and documentation for events

Event Day Execution
+ Setting up venues for events, including arranging the room and helping bring in materials
+ Working as volunteers on event days, ensuring that you help attendees
+ Helping with breakdown and clean up when needed
+ Assuming the role of Ticket Taker and welcoming guests, alongside the board members if needed.
+ Dispensing useful information to event-goers.

About UGA Food Science Club

The purpose of the Food Science Club is to connect faculty and students in an interactive environment to learn more about the food industry. This is done through organized student activities designed to enhance knowledge of food science, expose students to leadership roles and meet professionals employed in their fields of study.
